Elite With Energy Sword

The reason why the Energy Sword's handle is perpendicular to the blade instead of being inline is because the Elite's head is too far forward while it's arms and body are too far back. The regular range of motion with a straight sword would most likely see its movements hitting an Elite's head, making it hard for them to effectively swing it.
